My poor little yellow car.....

Ok- so most people know that I have a bright YELLOW car....
(see image above)

Well, my little car was in a minor accident yesterday on my way home from work. An older gentleman decided that he wanted to be me, and decided to just push me right out of the way. It was a good thing that I was paying attention, because if I wasn't, then I could have been seriously hurt. Of course when I see that the man is coming straight towards me, and that he IS NOT going to stop coming at me, all I could think of was 'ohh...geez...this is going to hurt!' I sped up hoping that if I did he would miss me altogether, but he didn't and clipped my drivers side bumper/ fender, and ruined my rim.

The good news is that no one was hurt, even though he was really shook up... I was worried thast when i got out to look at it that all the yellow plastic was going to be crumpled... ahh..but much to my relief, it wasn't that bad!

If the car was paid for, then I probably wouldn't even worry about it, but since I still owe for it, and technically it belongs to the Bank of Oklahoma...It is going for a visit to FTI collision on Monday morning. Hopefully they can get an estimate, and fix it all in one day, because I just can't live without a car. Well, I guess I could, but I don't want to.....

So that was my interesting news for yesterday, Novemeber the 11th, 2008: Veteran's Day & Autumn's birthday.

A poem that I dedicated to my Father...

My Father today is not the same man that raised me and my brother, he is not the same man who was married to my mother for almost 30 years. He is not the well respected member of his community, and not the man who has lived his life like he expected his children to do.

The man who raised me is no more....
I hadn't seen my Dad is almost 2 years, when I seen him about a week ago, it saddened my heart. He did not look like my Dad, my children did not recognize 'Papa' I'm sure that it hurt him that the boys wouldn't talk to him. Maybe he felt a small tinge of the pain that he has put us all through.

I have this poem, and I have posted it before, on my myspace page, but I feel the need to post it again. We are healing a little more each day....and we are going on...without him.

It hurts, yes....... but we have to go on.

To my Father

We'll Go on.

We'll go on without you.

Without you we'll go on.

Though something beautiful
inside us all has turned to stone.
We'll go on without you.

Without you.

Through the years of pain
and raw bewilderment
and brutal, angry tears.

We'll go on without you.

Without you we will heal,
Though love may labor
in the heart
and joy the loss conceal.

We'll go on without you,
Without you we we will grow,
together as a family,
that you will never know.

We'll go
on
without
you.

Without you life goes on,
But neither hope nor happiness...
Undoes what you have done.

THE END OF THAT.

I miss MY DAD......
